How to delete an Instagram account

There are two ways of deleting Instagram, the first one is temporarily disabling your Instagram account and the second one is Permanently deleting your Instagram account.

If you Temporarily disable your account then your Instagram account will deactivate but you can get your Instagram account back easily when your re-login to your Instagram account.

If you choose Permanently delete your Instagram account then your Instagram account will be deleted forever and you will not be able to recover your account back.

Temporarily disable the Instagram account

If you want to Temporarily disable your Instagram account, then follow the steps below:-

1. Log in to your Instagram account using your Mobile browser or from your Computer. because you can't disable your Instagram account using the app so that's why log in to Instagram on your browser like Google Chrome.

2. Now go to your Profile and then select Edit Profile.

3. Scroll down here and then click on Temporarily disable my account in the bottom right.

4. Now under Why are you disabling your account? select an option here and re-enter your Instagram password.

5. Now click on Temporarily disable your account.

Now, your Instagram account will be Temporarily disabled and now your Profile, Photos, comments, and likes will be hidden until you reactivate.

To reactivate your Instagram account, just login back into your Instagram account, and then your Instagram account will be back.

Permanently delete Instagram account

If you want to delete your Instagram permanently, then follow the steps below:- 

1. First of login to your Instagram account using your Mobile browser or from your Computer because you can't permanently delete your account from the app.

2. Now after logging in, visit this link on your browser.

3. Now when this page opens, scroll down and under Why are you deleting your account? select any reason and then re-enter your Instagram account password.

4. Now click on Permanently delete my account.

Now after that your Instagram account will be deleted Permanently and your profile, photos, videos, comments, likes, and followers will be permanently removed.

Also, you sign up again with the same username or add that username to another account.
