How to get a refund on Google Play

If you purchased something from the Play Store and if you don't like what your purchase, then you can refund the app, games, or media.

So if you want to return paid apps, paid games, or media purchased in Google Play, then follow the method below.

How to get a refund on Google Play of paid apps and games or in-app purchases

According to the Android App return policy, after you buy an Android game or app but you are not happy with the purchased app or game, then you can return it within 2 hours for a full refund.

Then you have only 48 hours which a refund request can be processed by Google.

So After that, then it is now up to the app developer to decide that you should get your money back or not.

There are three ways to request a refund on Google Play:

1. Request a refund within 2 hours

So to get a refund within the 2 hours of purchase then follow the steps below:-

• Run Play Store App on your mobile.
• Now switch to the same account from which you purchased the app.
• Now click on the Menu icon and now click on choose My account
• Now select the app you want to return
• Now click on the Refund
• Follow the instructions on the screen to get your money back
• Uninstall the app or game.

So if the 2 hours have already passed then you won't see a Refund button and instead of a refund, they will say to uninstall.

2. Request Refund within 48 hours

So to claim the refund within 48 hours of the purchased app or game then follow the steps below:-

• First of all, open the browser on your mobile like Chrome.
• Now visit this link on your browser.
• Now scroll down to "Order history"
• Now find the order you want to return
• Now click on More to the right of the order
• Now select Request a refund
• Now complete the form
• Also, note that you would like a refund.

3. Get supports from the developer of the app for a refund

So now the other option is to refund the app or game is to contact the developer. So on your mobile, do the following steps:-

• Run Play Store on your mobile.
• Now search for the app you want to refund.
• Now click on the App.
• Now click on the Read More button.
• Now here you will find the Contact Information.

Now you can contact the developer of the app or game and then it is up to the developer.

Get a refund on Google Play from the Google Assistant

You can also claim the refund using the Google assistant on your Mobile, tell Google Assistant that I need a refund from Google Play.

Remember that you cannot ask Google Assistant for a refund for subscriptions currently.

On Books, Google Play gives you a seven-day return period and 30 days through Google Play for Education.

Get a refund on Google Play Music

If you have not streamed or downloaded it then Google will refund it easily. So if you do those things, then Google will technically consider a refund.

You have 7 days if you want to request a refund or if you live in the European Union then you will have 14 days. To request, the refund follow the steps below:-

1. Open the Web Browser on Computer.

2. Now look for the Order History.

3. Now find the item you want to refund.

4. Now click on the menu icon.

5. Click on Report a Problem.

6. Now select I’d like to request a Refund.

You can contact the support team if you do not have access to a computer.

Get a Refund on Google Play Movie

You can get a refund at any time within 65 days if the video is defective.

If you have not watched the video yet then you can request a refund within 7 days after the purchase.

Remember if you return the movie or tv shows for a refund then it may be removed from your library.
