Today in this post we want to show you guys a unique and hidden security feature for your Samsung Galaxy device, so check them out below.

Now, this feature has to do with your power off the menu, when you want to turn off or restart your device you pull down the notifications panel alright.

And you tap on the power button or you press and hold the psychic now what you get here is you get  3 options power off, restart, and the emergency mode 

Now there's another option you can enable that has a unique functionality that is simply going to enhance the security of your smartphone.

So let me show you what I'm talking about when you go into the Settings you want to go over to the Lock screen

alright and from where you want to go into the Secure lock settings

you tap on it and of course, you dump in your pin number or Password and this feature is at the bottom right there is known as the Show lockdown option

now when you enable this and when you tap on the Power button now you will get 4 options you got the power off, restart, emergency, and also the lockdown mode

now let me explain to you what the lockdown mode does and why it is so useful.

Lockdown Mode Benefits

So basically by using the lockdown button you can turn off the smart lock biometrics and notifications on your screen so you get the point.

So let's say you have your phone right here and you went to sleep and you turn off your phone as you're sleeping somebody can in fact use your fingers to unlock the phone just like if they just grab your finger and put on the sensor.

It's gonna unlock the phone with the lockdown mode that option gets disabled when you gonna tap on the power button then going to tap on lockdown mode now the phone screen is just turned off.

But you're not gonna be able to use smart lock you're not gonna be able to use your fingerprints or you're not gonna see any notifications on the actual screen is going to be completely blank.

The only way you're gonna be able to unlock your screen is if you swipe up and put the actual pin number or the password.

Which is gonna be much harder to guess as opposed to just using your fingerprint to log into it for example if you're sleeping.

So that's absolutely fantastic that's the lockdown option remember if you turn off the device.

Obviously anybody can see the notifications on the screen and you know they can probably use your finger to lock unlock your phone. 

Well with the lockdown option boom no notifications no fingerprints no smart lock all right.

The only way to log into your phone is via the pin number so when you are about to go to sleep or take a nap this is a feature you can in fact enable.
