iPhone 12 Latest News
The Apple iPhone 12 is supposedly coming with a new camera lens and I'll be sharing the details right here in this post.
So while iPhone 12 leaks are a little lighter on the ground this week we do have a bit of information.
From News of a new camera lens in the iPhone 12, news of display production, that some models are further ahead and iPhone 12 is going to come with a feature that the iPhone 13 won't even have.
iPhone 12 Display
So the first news of the day is about the iPhone 12 display and it's good or it's bad depending on what phone you're after.
Ross young tweeted a couple of days ago to say that the iPhone 12 panel production is a month ahead of the iPhone 12 pro max and that the 5.4" iPhone 12 has a healthy lead in volume early on.
He also provided another tweet saying that the iPhone 12 is a month ahead of the iPhone 12 pro as well so this sort of cooperates with the other stories.
iPhone 12 Launch
We've been hearing all the iPhone 12 are going to be launching in September as planned.
But the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 max are likely going to be released first with the iPhone 12 pro and the iPhone 12 pro max coming later in October.
We've also had news from Digitimes that states that all of the iPhone 12 are gonna have support for mm-wave and sub-six gigahertz 5g bands.
It was previously thought that only the two more premium models would be having both but Digitimes have stated that apple's 2020 series of iPhones are gonna work on both subs six gigahertz and mm-wave 5g networks.
And the vendor is considering introducing its iPhone supporting either mm-wave or sub-six gigahertz for specific markets next year and this is according to industry sources in Taiwan.
So surprising news that we may be getting both on all of the iPhone 12 but this may not be the case with the 2021 iPhone 13.
iPhone New Lens
Now finally we've got news of a new lens for the iPhone which is causing a lot of excitement.
Now the news comes from Ming-Chi Kuo who is a very reliable analyst and provides us with so many leaks early on.
He stated he predicts that Semco the best Korean lens supplier and Sunny optical the best Chinese lens supplier will enter the apple lens supply chain in the second half of 2020 and 2021 respectively.
Now Ming-Chi Kuo has also stated that he believes Semco is going to be providing a larger percentage of new periscope telephoto lenses for the apple in 2021 or 2022.
Apple has been filing patents for periscope lenses since 2016 and it's something we see in many other smartphones across the board.
Given their success in other devices, I can imagine it's going to be a welcomed addition to the iPhone.
But I can confirm it's not something we're getting on the iPhone 12 but something that will be in future models.
Now unfortunately that's it for the new information today as I did say we are a little bit light on the ground when it comes to the leaks.
But with all four models launching in the second week of September it's not long until apple is going to confirm things themselves.
