The Apple iPhone 13 is coming on time and with the feature that we all wanted to see and we'll be sharing the details right here in this post.
So today we've got the news that despite delays across all of the technology, the Apple iPhone 13 is not going to be affected.
We've got the iPhone 13 revealed in a new render as well as the feature we've all been waiting for.
iPhone 13 Delay
So first of all we've got news of delays across the board thanks to a global chip shortage all manufacturers are being affected.
And according to Nikkei Asia, it's going to be delaying at the Macbooks and the iPads.
The report does however state that the iPhone 13 series is not going to be affected by the supply shortage.
And according to the report, some components from the iPhone 13 are quite tight in supply.
But overall a minor supply chain issue that will not impact the iPhone 13 release.
We've also got a new report from Digi Times, that suggests the iPhone 13 production process is actually much further ahead of schedule than we thought.
They previously advised that TSMC would begin the iPhone 13 chip production by the end of May.
But according to a new report, they issued a couple of days ago they're actually going to be shipping the a15 by the end of May.
But the looks of it Apple are back on track for the iPhone 13 and they've recovered from last year's delays.
Apple Increase of Shipments
We've also got the news that Apple is going to be planning a substantial increase of shipments for mmWave in 2021.
As we know with last year's model's millimeter-wave it was limited to the USA.
But Digi Times state that Apple is going to be boosting mmWave for the iPhone 13.
This year is the economy is recovering and of course, more countries are improving their 5G infrastructure, so it does make sense.
iPhone 13 Design
For those of you concerned about the iPhone 13 design we previously had the front glass leaked and then the mock-ups a few days ago.
Showing us what we can expect from the new phones.
Today we've got a new render from Technizo Concept that basically takes these on boards.
And shows us what the phone is going to look like in stunning 3d renders.
Well, it is very similar to last year we were only expecting minor design changes.
And it's refreshing to see a much smaller notch.
iPhone 13 120Hz?
If that wasn't enough we've also got more news from Digi Times that the phone is going to be coming with the feature that we've all been asking for.
We mentioned last week that the decision was already made.
The iPhone 13 pro and the pro max were definitely having 120-hertz displays.
Well, DigiTimes has now further confirmed this with an update on display production.
According to Digi Times, Samsung and LG are in the process of converting parts of their production to produce LTPO OLED for the iPhone 13 pro and the iPhone 13 pro max.
They advise that their dedicated Apple lines that the conversion is going to be completed in the first half of 2021.
We also have news that despite quality failures last year Apple is still looking to add BOE to the list of suppliers for these new LTPO panels.
And of course, there's no reason not to do this if BOE can produce LTPO panels for Apple that do pass their quality checks.
Then it's no doubt going to be cheaper for them than Samsung and LG.
So overall it's lots of great news to share today for the Apple iPhone 13 and it's great that we should be seeing a release on time.
